Cardinal Ritter seniors offered more than $1.75 million in scholarships

ST. LOUIS, MO – Graduating seniors at Cardinal Ritter College Prep saw their hard work pay off this spring with scholarship offers for the 72 graduates totaling $1,755,080.

A total of 75 scholarships were offered to the graduates, many of whom received scholarship offers from multiple institutions. The scholarships range from $500 to $70,000, and came from private schools in nine states and state-funded schools in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Georgia, Arkansas and Alabama.

“The potential of our graduates has clearly been recognized all around the country,” said Leon Henderson, president of Cardinal Ritter College Prep. “These students have been awarded scholarships for academics, athletics and leadership, and they plan to study subjects ranging from medicine to agriculture. This group is as diverse as it is talented.”

More than half a dozen of the nation’s Historically Black Universities (HBU) offered scholarships to Cardinal Ritter students and 27 percent of the graduates will attend an HBU.
