Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School launches new web site
ST. LOUIS, MO – Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School has announced the launch of its new web site at www.cardinalritterprep.org. The new web site includes a password-protected section where students and parents can log in to monitor grades, attendance, assignments and calendars. Student classes also will manage sections of the web site to learn basic web development skills.
“The new web site reflects our mission and success as a national model for urban education,” said Leon Henderson, president of Cardinal Ritter Prep. “Our mission is to help students build knowledge, appreciation and understanding of our own community and the larger world, and our web site is one way we can do that.”
Cardinal Ritter Prep has been nationally recognized as an Exemplary Private School by the Council for American Private Education, Washington D.C. in 1984. The school provides a college prep education centered on academics, spiritual values and leadership. Although Cardinal Ritter Prep is a Catholic high school, nearly 70 percent of the students are not Catholic but instead represent a wide variety of faiths.
The new web site includes a history of Cardinal Ritter Prep from its original founding in 1942 to the present, admissions guidelines for prospective students and parents, a directory to help students and parents correspond with faculty and staff, a stylish photo gallery and a contributions page where visitors can find information about how to make donations to underwrite tuition costs for Cardinal Ritter Prep students.
“We hope people will learn more about our remarkable community of teachers and students,” Henderson said. “We are eager to share our story.”
Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School has educated students from the entire St. Louis region for more than 25 years and opened a new, state-of-the-art school in Grand Center in 2003. This year, as in years past, all Cardinal Ritter Prep seniors graduated and moved on to college.
